Day 1 – Journey to Cappadocia
Your journey begins with a morning departure from Kalkan, travelling inland towards Cappadocia. The day is dedicated to the scenic drive, with comfort stops along the way, before arriving at your hotel and settling in for the evening.
Day 2 – Fairy Chimneys & Göreme
Your first full day begins with a guided exploration of Cappadocia’s most iconic landscapes. Visit Devrent Valley and Pashabagi, known for their distinctive rock formations, before continuing to the Göreme Open Air Museum, home to remarkable rock-cut churches and early Christian settlements. The day continues with a visit to Uçhisar, offering panoramic views over the region, before returning to your hotel.
Day 3 – Rose Valley & Underground City
The day continues with a visit to Rose Valley, known for its scenic walking routes and rock-cut churches near Çavuşin. Explore Çavuşin village before continuing to Pigeon Valley and the Kaymaklı Underground City, one of the largest underground settlements in Cappadocia. After the tour, return to your hotel for a final evening in the region.
Day 4 – Return to Kalkan
After breakfast, you will leave Cappadocia and begin the return journey to Kalkan. Travel is via Konya, with the option to visit the Mevlana Museum, one of Turkey’s most important cultural and spiritual landmarks, or extend your journey with an additional overnight stay in Konya.
A hot air balloon ride can be arranged during your stay in Cappadocia, subject to availability and weather conditions. This is a sample itinerary and can be tailored to suit your preferences. Additional activities can be included, and a range of accommodation options — including boutique cave hotels — are available on request.
